woot. taufik won.
and thus ends the tv highlight of the year. singapore idol!
i have to say i never had a particular liking for sylvester. i dint like his chinese accent, the way he appealed to deluded females, the way he sang...in fact i really thought his singing sucked. but you know it has a different kind of appeal i guess, which totally eludes me. i salute him for his attitude, his connection with the fans. but thats about it.
taufik sang really well. i really liked 'suspicious' and 'me and mrs jones'. his look is earnest and pretty sincere. but he almost screwed up i think. the first part when he came out in the fur coat with sly, i thought he looked damn cocky, and secondly was the part when he said: "I wish both of us could be singapore idols". Totally fake and contrived. you could even see the shifty look in his eyes when he said it. anyway i like taufik. hes real smooth.
anyway....gurmit was ok, not as spaz as usual.
on a side-note, why the hell did they let this whoever guy write 'I dream' for the new single. I mean...yeah so he wrote guy sebastians album, but guy sebastian is a gay fag with a screwed up face -_-, and a feminine metrosexual voice -_-.
i dont really like 'I dream'. -_-

- the combined performances were also pretty good. got a hint of lip-synching, but i doubt so.
- dick lees song was quite entertaining....e.g. maia my baby, and her baby -_-

- Sharon Au's fervent proclaimation of her objective view of the 2 finalists, that both had equal chance, and both deserved to win -_-
- Sly couldnt hit the high note of 'Its my Life'
- Sly's rendition of 'I dream' was below expectations
- I dont understand the song an jing -_-
- Maia is bloody short, much shorter than i envisioned her to be -_-
- Judges were way too lenient today. I think Sly should have gotten a few snide comments here and there ^^

anyway i decided to give the ps2 away, or loan it for some period of time first. this decision shd irritate ppl like kw and dick but anyway, its out of love for my aunty! wheeee
